Charter Night – Lion Ray asked several AM members if they would speak at the Charter Night on how the club has changed over the last 50 years. Lion Ray has sent out a sign up sheet for the dinner so we know how many are coming and what food dishes to order for them. Lion Charlie said he reached out to past Lion Ray Gamma and he said he would not be able to attend. Past District Governor Liz Crooke will be the main speaker.
Ride4Diabetes – Lion Kent said a lot of activity is going on. The city of Cupertino is looking at the permits and maybe we can get the central park for free. Lion Muni is working on the new routes for the ride/walk. He said Lion’s Andrea, Liang and Joan are working very hard on the R4D along with other members of the committee. The committee is trying to keep the ride routes all contained in the Cupertino city limits thus eliminating the cost of the municipalities route fees.
The committee is focusing on the event being a Cupertino community event.
Golf Tournament – Lion Ray said Moffett Field has not hired a GM yet so he is talking with interim GM. Lion Ray has confirmed the June 22, 2019 date with a start time of 10 AM. Lion Claire and Jen will handle the registration. Lion Dagi and Lion Al are working on the Pay Pal portion of the golf registration. Lion Ray asked if we still have an email list of golf participants from last year so we could send a shout out to them about the upcoming tournament, Lion Dagi said she would look into it. Lion Ray said we need to get the whole club involved in getting raffle/auction items and tee sponsors.
Good of the Order –
Lion Don Lang talked about the Odd Fellows fund raising pancake breakfast at the Odd Fellows Hall in Cupertino Saturday March 16, 2019 from 7 AM to 11 AM. Price is $7 per person with all proceeds going to a Cancer Charity.
Lion Dagi talked about the upcoming Zone Student Speaker contest and will let us know the time and place so our Lions members can support our speaker.
Lion Dagi put the Crab Feed and the Student Speaker photos on our website.
Opportunity Drawing – Congratulations Lion Steve won.
