A.M. meeting minutes for 5/13/2021

Golf Tournament – Lion Kent said he had talked with Parks and Recreation for the City of Cupertino. Lion Kent said in the conversation he found out that all the Saturdays in September were taken so he suggested Sunday September 12th or the other possible date was Saturday August 28th. He suggested that the Board be made aware of this to see if we should move forward on either one of the dates. Lion Kent also said that we could also put on a BBQ after the golf tournament for tournament players and citizens who could buy tickets.for the BBQ but we would need to reserve the Blackberry picnic area that can hold up to 250 people. Lion Kent said that he had talked with Mayor Darcy Paul about the possibility of the city providing a grant to the club for holding a city sponsored event. Lion Kent suggested that Lion Eli contact Lion’s Carl, Jenni, and Jill to see what date would be best for them so that it would not interfere with school. Lion Eli said he would send them an email. Lion Kent said he would send out an analysis matrix that he put together concerning the BBQ meal cost.
District 4C-6 Convention – Lion Al talked about the upcoming convention this weekend and that he thought Lion Suda and Lion Ray were going to go and asked if anyone else was interested in attending the convention this weekend to let him know.
Good of the Order –
Lion Ray said that he had tried to contact the Cupertino Courier about doing a feature article on the clubs Camp Via West garden project but had not heard back from them.
Lion Steve and Ellen took Maria to the San Francisco Lions Eye Clinic today for her check up after her eye surgery.
Lion Ray said that he would contact Holder’s Country Inn to see about the possibility of holding our weekly AM meetings there again.
