TailTwister – No Tail twister today Lion Herb could not find his toilet, sounds like a personal problem to me.
Camp Via West Work Party – Lion Bill said he talked with Rick at Camp Via West and he has a project for us to work on. They need to do a 30 foot clearance around the camp for a fire break. Rick said that he has all the tools, lawn mowers and weed wackers. Lion Bill said he had two mowers that he could bring. Lion Steve said he had a weed walker with a 100 foot extension cord, Lion Ron said he would pick it up from Lion Steve. Currently we have Lion’s Ray, Bill, Al, Dagi, Joan, and Ron for Friday. On Saturday we have Lion’s Ray, Bill, Jeff, Joan, Dagi, and Ron scheduled at this time.
Golf Tournament – Lion Ray said he has rescheduled the Golf Tournament for August 29, 2020. The opening is dependent on the golf course being ready and the County of Santa Clara Coronavirus Guidelines. If this date does not work we can look at scheduling it in October as all the dates in September are already taken. Lion Steve said he gave up on the mass mailing software that he was using as the company was not responding to his requests to help resolve his issues with the new software. Lion Steve said he is trying a new vendor and if it works the annual cost of the software is $168. Lion Ron suggested that if the software works that we purchase it and use it for both mass mailings, the golf tournament and the crab feed. Lion Al said we could split the annual cost of the software between the two projects and pay for it out of their budgets.
Good of the Order – Lion Eli suggested that we have a combined AM/PM meeting on June 3, 2020 at 6:30 PM. Lion Eli researched Destination Home and thought it would be a good service that we might want to hep support. If you would like to know about this organization you can go to their website (destinationhomesv.org). Lion Steve’s wife Ellen said she talked to the Destination Home representative and they could give us a presentation on our ZOOM meeting on June 3, 2020. Project Destination Home works with another charity organization, Abode Services to support those in need.
Opportunity Drawing – None
