Community Services Donations – Lion Joan talked about our club not being mentioned by the Cupertino Chamber of Commerce as a donator of funds and asked if someone could check into it so we can get recognition in our community. Discussion was had about donations for two funds in our area:
#1 West Valley Community Services
#2 Community Seva
Lion Jeff will send out an email with the information about “Seva Community Services” so club members can read what services they provide. These proposed donations will be discussed at the next Board meeting April 21, 2020. If you have any comments please send them to one of the Board members.
Lion Eli talked about possibly helping support individuals whether it be needy students, families, or homeless individuals. Lion Steve said his son is in charge of helping the homeless in Alameda County and would ask him about services in our area that we might support.
Golf Tournament – Lion Ray says he would like to look at an alternative date for the Golf Tournament. Lion Leslye suggested September 12, 2020. Lion Jeff said we need to contact Lion Sudah about the Bike Ride so we do not have a conflict of dates. Lion Ray said he will contact the course manager to check on a date in
September and what their current plans are for reopening the course. Lion Steve said he has received golfer mailing lists from Lion Al and Lion Claire for his mass mailing of the Golf flyer but he will wait until Lion Ray talks with the golf course manager.
Good of the Order – A big congratulations to Lion Leslye on the results of her tests that came back negative. YEAH, YEAH, YEAH.
Opportunity Drawing – None
