A.M. Meeting Minutes for 1/9/2020

Lions Present: Lion’s Ray, Ron, Phil, Don, Steve, Bill, Dagi, Mort, Eli, Herb, Kent, Leslye, Joan, and Linda.

Tail Twister – Lion Tail Twister Herb went around and collected happy dollars, for the 49er’s big win in the playoffs. Lion Ray rolled the dice for his birthday and rolled a four and donated $5 to the club.

PM Review – Lion Eli, said we had a potential new member from Chase bank Ahmad and the club welcomed him. Lion Steve said that we have received 10 tickets from Disneyland and that we will auction them off in (4), (4), & (2) pairs.
Lion Steve also mentioned that we received $200 in cash that we would raffle off in two $100 dutch raffles. Another auction item will be a new Epson all-in-one printer. Lion Carl said that the Fish Market is set and ready to go for cooking and that the Thrown Together Jazz Band will be appearing. Lion Carl also mentioned that he would to have a meeting of the committee members this Friday January 17 at the Ready Room starting at 4:30, he will send a message out.

R4D Committee – Lion Kent said that it is difficult for the R4D committee to attend any of our meetings because the times are not convenient for them. He suggested that we contact them and see what would be the best time for the Board to meet with them or a better/closer location for the meetings. Lion Joan said that we need to take a lookout our Club/LCI materials for information on what we do and how to join the club.

Student Speaker Contest – Lion Joan said that we need a good turnout of club members to show support for the High School speakers. The contest is February 6, 2020 at the Odd Fellows Hall in Cupertino. The contest starts at 7:00 PM the doors open at 6 PM. There will not be any allowed in after the contest has started.
Crab Feed – Lion Ray said that we need all hands on deck for the crab feed. Lion Carl sent out a document for club members to sign up on so please take a look and volunteer for a task. Lion Carl also mentioned that he would to have a meeting of the committee members this Friday January 17 at the Ready Room starting at 4:30, he will send a message out.

Good of the Order –

Lion Ray said he sent out a couple of dates for the Charter Night celebration for club members to choose from they are March 14th or March 21st. Please let Lion Ray know which one is best for you.

Lion Bill said there are new regulations and cost for the liquor license. The cost now is a minimum of $100 depending on the number of people attending. The county also has new forms to fill out.
