He said that most of the expense was for perishables ( turkeys, milk, and eggs) and that we need to talk it up next year. Turkeys were the largest expense and that we need to shop around for the best price for turkeys next year.

Student Speaker Contest – Lion Joan said that we received two responses to our requests for speakers. Lion Al said the contract and insurance is all set for the contest.

Crab Feed – Lion Ray said that Lion Prez Jeff sent out the list of raffle/auction companies and asked everyone to each take a couple of places and contact them for a donation. Lion Al said he will give an update on the crab feed when we return in January. He stated that the first seating appears to be sold out. A group of Lions including Lion Jim Gould went to the Redi Room to see about donations for this years crab feed. Lion Eli said that West Valley Construction donated three expensive bottles of wine for the auction. Lion Carl has talked with the Fish Market management. Lion Kent said he would talk with the Monta Vista Leo’s.

Good of the Order –

Lion Leslye talked about Canines for Companions at that they are having a special event on Friday May 8, 2020 in Santa Rosa. There’ll be a tour of the facility and then a graduation ceremony afterwords.
