AM Meeting Minutes, 3/24/2016
Lions Present: Lion’s Ray, Ron, Phil, Bill, Don, Steve, Al, Dagi, Eli, Herb,
Kent, and Charlie.

– Student Speaker Contest April 6, 2016 San Jose Voter Registrars Office on Berger Dr. 6:30 PM.
– PM meeting April 6, 2016 at 6:30 PM Tony and Alba’s
– Lion’s Annual Golf Tournament June 18, 2016 at Moffett Field Golf Club
Tail Twister – Tail Twister Lion Herb went around and collected happy dollars from all the Lions. Lion Ron gave a Happy Dollar for his son’s nomination for a
T V Emmy. Lion Eli gave a Happy Dollar for his trip to Vallejo next week o deliver our collection of eye glasses.
Charter Night – All the Lion’s said they had a great time and that the food was good. It was nice to have the wife’s of past Lion’s at the dinner, Charlotte Chastain, Marge Gilbert, and Lion Ann Harris. Speeches were given by current members on their recollection of past events and how they became members of the Cupertino DeAnza Lions. Lion John Smith provided his exceptional humorous dialogue on being a Lion from his start in England to Cupertino and his current Lions club in Santa Rosa. A well deserved Thank You went to Lion’s Ray Lancon, Dagi Zymdahl, Steve Ratner and Ellen, Lion Al Knox and Barbara, and Lion Mort and Eli for all their hard work making the Charter Night Dinner a great success.
Club Officers – The Club still needs volunteers for Club Officer positions of Secretary, Membership Chairman, and A.M. Chairperson, please contact Lion Al Knox if you are interested.
Golf Tournament – Lion Steve said we currently have $1,800 in donated items. Lion Al said we currently have a Silver and Bronze sponsor. Lion Kent said he would work on the sponsorship but needs someone to help out. It was suggested that maybe the next P.M. meeting should be dedicated to the Golf Tournament.
Crab Feed – Lion Al said an email will be sent to the Rotarians on March 27th to set up a meeting to discuss their future participation in the Crab Feed.
Good of the Order – Other Charity events were discussed to raise money for the club such as a Bike ride and Duck race. Lion Kent is currently working on getting information on the bike race.
Opportunity Drawing – Lion Ray won and donated it all to the charity fund.
