Tail Twister – Happy Dollars were given for Lion Phil’s 40 years of service to Lions, a successful food drive, and for my return after an auto accident. My thanks for all the “Good Wishes”.

Review PM Meeting –

We were honored to have District 4C6 Governor Jan Miller attend the meeting. Length of service recognition was given to several Lions, especially Lion Phil with 40 years and Lion Jim with 30 years.

Lion Claire brought 6 volunteers to help out at the food drive. One of them, Vijay Blki, is interested in becoming a member of our club.

Life Scout Amod Bhole, with his team of 4 people, collected 140 pair of eyeglasses in one weekend. This is Amod’s Eagle Scout project.

Lion Amy reported there would be a golf meeting at a future date after the Crab Feed. Tentative plan for the Golf Tournament is June 18th at Moffett Field.

Review of Food Drive

Lion John said 160 complete meals were given out plus 28 partial boxes. Value of the food is $13,000 plus $3,200 in donations. Thanks to all who helped out. We offered special thanks to Lion John for taking charge, Lion Yvonne’s Car Club for packing all the food and their donations of food and cash, and Lion Don for allowing us the use of the Odd Fellow’s Hall.

Crab Feed

Lion Al said the consensus is that there will be crab by the end of December or early January. If not, we will offer everyone their money back. Reminder: those who had parties of 8 or more have until December 15th to pay for tickets or their reservation will be cancelled.

Christmas Party

The Christmas Party is this Saturday. Setup is at 2 pm. Doors open for the party at 5:30 pm. Park your car in the rear of the building and use the back door entrance. Those who bring a food dish should also bring a serving utensil. Please wrap your ornament for the ornament gift exchange. Volunteers are needed for cleanup.

Good of the Order

Hospice of the Valley is having their Lights of Life celebration tonight 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm. Our club has received an invitation if you would like to attend. They are located at 4850 Union Ave, San Jose. Contact Lion Al for more information.

Membership Award – LCI has awarded our club a membership award for year 2014 – 2015. The award includes a patch, which will be sewn on our banner.

Rebekah Children’s Services – Because of our $500 donation, they have included us in their Festival of Trees brochure at a sponsor.

Opportunity Drawing – Congratulations to our winner, Lion Don.
