Good of the Order

Omar’s Dream: Lion Al reported that the Dream Run was very successful. The estimated net profit was $19,000. The money will go to the Regional Medical Center for 10 systems. Our Lion’s Club had 5 volunteers doing registration the day of plus Lion Eli’s setup/take down crew. Good job, Lions!

Maria: Our club and the Lions Eye Foundation have been helping Maria for the last 7 years. She has been sited for the last 4 years. Transportation to the Eye Foundation in San Francisco is a problem. Contact Lion Al/Barb if you can help drive.

Student Speaker Contest: A planning meeting for the contest is scheduled after the Club meeting. This year the contest will be held at the Odd Fellows Hall on Thursday, February 4th, at 7 pm. Contact Lions Walt or Dagi if you would like to help.

Rebekah Children’s Services: Rather than buy 4 tickets for the dinner, our club has made a $500 donation. Rebekah Children’s Services is dedicated to promoting the social, emotional and physical well being of children and families. For more information contact Lion Don.
