Golf Tournament – Lion Kent mentioned that the new website is helping tremendously in getting new major sponsors. Lion Kent then mentioned that the Palo Alto Medical Foundation approved raising their level of sponsorship for the coming year to $1000. There was a discussion about how to deal with major sponsors that give large donations as gifts in kind (i.e. $500 of gift cards) and how to treat them. This was discussed and tabled for further discussion later and that maybe we need a gift in kind policy for major sponsors. Lion Eli brought up that Lion Howie volunteered to take over the tournament scoring and that he would need help and asked for volunteers. Lion Eli also mentioned that the FireHouse Grill and Brewery were going to donate at least one keg of beer and that we would need to provide the man power to pour the beer at the designated location. The Pre-tournament golf outing will be at Summit Point and Lion Ray L. will need the number of golfers and payment so he can work out the details with Summit Point golf course. The pre-tournament golf party and Lion Leslye and Jon Noone’s house will be at 5:30 P.M.. A signup sheet was passed around asking for volunteers for various duties during the party and the hearty appetizers, salads, and desserts they want to bring. It was also discussed what materials and tables were needed at the Noone’s house for the party. Lion Al stated that we need to get the master list of golfers for the Moffett Field front gate completed by 9/22/2010.
Opportunity Drawing – Congratulations, Lion Eli won.
