Lions Present: Lion Prez Ray, Phil, Bill, Don, Al, Eli, Herb, Kent, Ray G., Charlie & Ron.
Guests/Visitors: Jim Isaacson.
Tail Twister: Lion Eli on behalf of Lion Jim. Lion Jim Isaacson donated $5 for help with the Cupertino Host Lions Fish-a-Thon. Lion Phil was fined by Lion Eli for a little zing that Lion Phil got him with.

Guest: Lion Jim Isaacson talked about the Cupertino Host Lions Club Wild Game Feed on Thursday, June 3rd, 2010. Tickets are $50.
Awards: The Cupertino DeAnza Lions Club received an award from the District 4C6 Convention for 2nd place in eye glass collection and the DeAnza lions won first place in our club division for pull tabs.. Thanks to all who helped contribute to Lion Phil’s pull tab collection. Both Lion Al Knox and Lion Phil won raffle prizes from the convention.
Installation and Budget: The Installation of Officers and the annual Budget meeting will both be held on June 26th, 2010.
2010 Golf Tournament – Lion Al mentioned that the Pay Pal option was working well. Lion Eli stated that everything was going well and he was hopeful to get “Recology” to increase their major sponsorship. Lion Eli mentioned that approximately 12 DeAnza Lions and DeAnza Lions associates were going to support the Auburn Lions golf tournament on May 14th.
Leo’s Club – Lion Kent reported that the Leo’s group were working on getting their organization defined, their Constitution approved, and a list of next years events.
Board Meeting Review – Lion Ray L. reported the financials were approved by the board. The Board also discussed the purchase of 50 Friendship banners and if approved will order them thru Lions International.
Outreach – There are currently three eye exams in process. Individuals from Lion Al’s church are providing transportation for the kids to the exams. Lion Prez Ray is still waiting for the paper work from Campbell Middle school. It was mentioned that Lens Crafters would provide 2 free eye exams per month.
It was also stated that the Sunrise Rotarians asked to help out and be part of this project. This will be discussed later.
It was also mentioned that the West Valley Community Services group was looking for donations to help provide a K9 companion dog to a needy individual. They need approximately $10K dollars.
