Phil asked for some printed golf flyer forms since he is still in the dark ages and
cannot print any from the new website.  Lion Eli mentioned that the DeAnza
Lions have approximately 12 members going to the Auburn Lions charity golf
tournament.  Lion Kent also brought up that he and his wife Nancy will be playing
in the Rotary golf tournament on May 1st.  Lion Eli also mentioned that he and
Lion Mort had also signed up for the tournament.  There has been a request from
our Rotary friends for further golfer support if possible for their 9-hole
tournament.  You can contact Lion Kent for Rotary golf contacts.

Leo’s update – The Monta Vista Leo’s club met over the spring break and
decided to concentrate on a membership drive in September when they return for
the new school year.  They are working on their constitution and are meeting on
Tuesdays during the school year.  It was discussed that the Leo’s were trying to
complete their ratification and signup of initial members by April 29th so we can
provide that list to Lion Ray or Lion Al to mention at the 4C6 district convention in
Sacramento.
The Leo’s plan on attending the monthly Lion’s P.M. meeting for reporting
purposes.
Good of the Order –  There will be a fund raiser at the Fish Market on May 17,
2010 for Sergio’s wife who has been diagnosed with cancer.  Sergio has been a
long time supporter of the DeAnza Lions group especially with the crabfeed and
the golf tournament.  Attending this fund raiser would show our appreciation for
all that he and the Fish Market has done for our Lions club.  Lion Eli suggested
that we reserve a table or two for dinner to support this event.  Please let Lion Eli
of Lion Jim if you plan on attending.
