DAL Lions PM Meeting Minutes: Wednesday, January 10, 2018

  1. Happy Dollars for goals and fruit picking and Warriors. Eli W.’s birthday in 10 days.  Amy for lots of stuff. Birthdays and Hamilton from Angeline. Happy dollar for losing all the grapefruits and fun.  Eli is back to health! Happy dollar for storage inventory, which was sketchy. Social Security raise from Phil.  Vijay is back! Hosting Lions party.  Mike Martin dpmated bc he stopped by and left.
  2. December Board Meeting Minutes Review – see published meeting minutes or email Jill Eliason if you want her to send these to you. 6:30 is the NEW board meeting time rather than 7:00.
  3. Crab Feed 2018 – First seating is 166/270 full and the second is 60/270 for the second seating.  SELL those tickets! Text message or email to Lion Al to designate those seats. Lion Steve speaking about donations, Carl is sending out the sign up sheet tonight so look for it and we have a new location, so we are staffing it the same as last year. We believe there will be Leos in the mix to about 100 students, but we don’t know who is the point person for the Leos at the Crab Feed. Carl will train them in the service, but someone else needs to supervise them.  Carmel is going to the supervisor for the Leos for the second seating.
  4. Charter Night 2018 – lion jeff, Any Lion: Blue Pheasant on March 10 or 24.  Look for the email to vote on that night.
  5. New Google Group for the club: new google groups are successful.
  6. The Student Speaker Contest: Lion Dagi and Ellen are chairing the event.  The date is the 8th of February.  We have one student from Cupertino participating.  We need judges, timers, and a bouncer.
  7. Good of the Pride:
  • Lion Amy-golf tourney is going to be Father’s Day weekend in June.
  • Lion Amy-Next month we are going to have a speaker who is a cataract surgeon about what he does at eye clinics around the world and works at Kaiser.
  • Lion Mike R. is thinking about working on a run for the Dirtbags to go to Cooperstown.  
  • Lion Mort-Howie and Kathy Update- we are thinking of them as Howie is struggling, but still hanging in there.
