A Shout Out to Lions Claire, Jen and Jeff who organized and managed our 40th year of the Cupertino De Anza Charity Food Drive. This year we provided 2 weeks worth of food to over 170 families in need and sent several trucks/SUV’s full of food to local charities.
Thanks to all the Lions and friends of Lions who spent Saturday and Sunday (Nov 23/24) begging for food donations at three local stores. And a special thanks to the early birds that came to the Odd Fellows Lodge on Monday (Nov 25th) morning at 6 AM to offload the refrigerator truck, carry all the perishable items into the hall and then, packaged in a big box, back out to the various delivery trucks and trailers.
I hope you all can join us next year in one of our club’s signature events. Each year it gets better and more fun.
