Recap, 30th Annual Charity Golf Classic – Lion Amy

Thank you Ray and Eli for returning Amy’s storage items. Amy presented them with a free round of golf.

Overall, preliminary results show the golf tournament as a great success. Great energy and a great event.

Thank you to Lion Mary for the photos she took.

Golf course personnel really stepped up and did a great job.

We’re on the calendar for next year, weekend after Father’s Day 2018.

Special props to Vijay’s foursome, “Make Golf Great Again”

Registration went flawlessly

Summary Brief, June Board Meeting / Budget Meeting – Lion Jeff & Vijay

Preliminary findings net surplus was +/- 16k

Meeting adjourned after 70 min

Admin budget was about 1k > last night year

A few charities were added from the Google poll – mail Charles for details. During this PM meeting, Amy moved that we increase the amount paid to speakers. To be discussed more at a later date.

Officers Induction / Tailtwister Fiesta 2017 – Lion Jeff

Details to follow as people RSVP. Location to be at Mike Ringer’s house. Potluck of sides and tri-tip.

Call to Action – All Hands Support for Ride4Diabetes 2017 – Committee Chairs / Lion Ray

6-ish weeks to go. Full course press for riders. We’ll need more volunteers. Need more food donations. We’re having trouble getting restaurants donate. Some caterers are working with us for donations.

** We’ll need 8-10 Lions there at 05:00 in the morning to set up tents, set up the 5 rest stops, etc. **

There is going to be a band (not the Blue Bells).

We need to order shirts for riders and volunteers. Generally one would order +20% > the number needed. Ron has a meeting with the ADA in the morning.

We’ll use the ADA “start gate”.

Volunteer spreadsheet to be finalized next week. We need everyone involved and volunteering.
