Financial Review: Crab Feed
– We are looking at ways to cut costs and still provide a high quality service next year.
– Discussed whether we wanted to buy top tier, restaurant quality crab or go for lower quality. Most preferred to stick with restaurant quality crab.
– Looking to see if we could save some money by cleaning the crab ourselves.
– It was suggested we look into taking pre orders for surplus crab so we will not have to give any away next year.
– We are considering raising the price to $50 or $55 dollars next year. Lion Al passed around a spreadsheet showing the increased profitability if we had raised the price to $50 or $55 this year.
– Small online survey showed current crab feeds going for between $45 and $60.
– Tabled price decision until next month.
