Volunteers are also needed for the Fish A Thon on Saturday from 8 am until 2 pm. Breakfast will be served at 7 am for those who can come early.

*****Please bring you camera and take some pictures. Lion Dagi says she needs some pictures both during the setup and also at the Fish A Thon for our website and the brag board.

FUNDRAISER FOR LIONS DIABETES CAMP FOR KIDS – Our club has purchased 6 tickets for the event. If you would like to attend, please contact Lion Al for the tickets. It is a BBQ-style event with tri-tip and will be held at the Santa Clara Elks Lodge, 1680 Martin Ave, Santa Clara on Saturday May 30 from 12 – 4 pm.

GOLF TOURNAMENT – Lion Eli says he has been in contact with Moffett Field’s new Director of the Golf Course, Gary Pearce. Gary has promised to provide the same service as last year at the same price. Paul & Eddies have come through with a Bronze Sponsorship, and we may be getting another Silver Sponsor. We still need golfers and tee sponsors. There will probably be a Golf Meeting before the next PM Meeting.

Reminder – Work party at Lion Steve’s home on Thursday, June 11th, Welcome Party for International Director Jack Epperson will be at Lions Mort and Eli’s home on June 12th and the Golf Tournament on Saturday, June 13th at Moffett Field.

GOOD OF THE ORDER

CAMP VIA WEST – Lion Bill says the only time available for maintenance work at Camp Via is over the 3 day Memorial Day weekend that is from Friday afternoon May 22nd through Monday May 25th. We have plenty of brown paint and the use of Lion Steve’s new sprayer. Need you to volunteer.

COURIERS FOR GENERAL ELECTION – Mike Fong at the Registrars of Voters Office for Santa Clara County says they will need Couriers for the General Election in November. We were miss-informed about couriers for the June election. He will contact us in August to see if we are still interested in participating. Does not look like there will be any daytime couriers, just nighttime.

FLAG DAY THINGS – Lion Mort says there was only 1 flag day this year because of personal issues. Next year she is planning three flag days at Trace, Sutter, and Hughes schools, probably in March.

SUNSHINE REPORT

Lion Al’s wife, Barb is having a knee replacement on May 14th. We hope all goes well and for a speedy recovery.
