Tail Twister

–       Tail Twister Lion Herb went around the room collecting happy dollars. Special recognition was given to our guest, VDG Jan Miller.

Jan Miller

–       All clubs should consider making donations to the Student Speaker Foundation. Our district has been assessed over $7000 for the work but to date only $200 has been donated.

–       Donations made to City of Hope should be earmarked for the Family Center.

Board Meeting Review

–       See Board Meeting Minutes 1/20/2015 sent out earlier this week. The minutes are also posted on the Cupertino DeAnza website.

Crab Feed

–       YOUR HELP NEEDED:

  • Tonight, Jan 22nd…6:30 pm work party at Lester Santos home, 3575 Sunnydale Ct, San Jose, CA 95117. Phone (408) 241-6135.
  • Friday, Jan 23rd…9:00 am, at Fish Market. A crew is needed to load up supplies.
  • Saturday, Jan 24…10 am – 11:30 am…Food preparation at Buchser Middle School, 1111 Bellomy St, Santa Clara.
  • Saturday evening & Sunday, St Williams Church. See our Lion’s website for Volunteer list.

–       Lion Al reported 300 tickets paid for early seating. 250 tickets sold 2nd seating.

–       Lion Kent has asked the Leos to invite their parents to 2nd seating.

–       Lion Steve thanked Lion Herb and Lion Walt for helping pick lemons on Wednesday.

Student Speaker Contest

–       Thursday, February 5th at Bellarmine Room of the Jesuit Retreat Center.

–       Lion volunteers needed. Contact Lion Walt or Lion Dagi if you are willing to help.

–       Volunteers are asked to show up between 6 and 6:15 pm. Event will begin sharply at 7 pm.

–       We now have students registered from each of the 5 schools and 4 judges.

Good of the Order

–       Charter Night

  • Date will be March 21st or March 28th. Please let Lion Ray know which date you would prefer.
  • Location is the Blue Pheasant Restaurant. Same menu and same costs as last year.

–       Lion Eli has undergone surgery to improve the circulation in his left leg. We all wish him a speedy recovery.

–       Congratulations to Lion Herb who won the opportunity drawing!
