Guests: Sue Chen – District Executive, & Bobby Toda – District Community Chair, Silicon Valley Monterey Bay Council, Boy Scouts of America.

Tail Twister
– Tail Twister Lion Herb went around the room collecting Happy Dollars. It was Lion
John S birthday. He rolled a seven and everyone gave a Happy Dollar on his behalf.
Guest Speakers: Sue Chen and Bobby Toda
– Spoke on behalf of Friends of the Boy Scouts Program
– Serve Santa Clara and Monterey Bay Areas
– 13,000 youth
– Not funded by United Way.
– Asking for help from the community.
– They are sponsoring a fundraising community breakfast at the end of the month.
– We will discuss at our Board Meeting this Wednesday and get back to them.
Crab Feed Update: Lion Al
– Paypal problem. Some of the attendees are not recognizing charge on their bills.
– Problem with chargeback.
– Committee will meet with our Board and Rotarians.

Charter Night Update: Lion Steve
– 46th Anniversary of our lodge will be on March 28th at the Blue Pheasant
– Let Lion Steve know if you are interested in coming and what you would like to eat.
– 35 people have signed up including 8 children.
Potential Fundraiser Updates: Lion Walt
– Need to know how many people interested in participating as Election Couriers
– General Election on June 2nd.
– Each team (driver & navigator) will receive $100 plus gas allowance plus $10 training allowance.
– Need to have a count of interested people by March 15th.
Good of the Order
– Golf Tournament is June 13th at Moffett Field. Lion John N has listed it on website. We are considering having professional Tee Signs made. Sports Basement has donated some coupons.
– Student Speaker Contest was last Monday, March 9th at Los Gatos Lodge. Sophomore from Cupertino High School won. Our contestant, Grace Zhou did well. We invited her to a future PM meeting.
– Flag Day at Sutter School last Wednesday, March 11th. There were 56 students from two 3rd grade classes. Lions Mort, Ann and Walt participated.
Opportunity Drawing
– Congratulations and kudos to Lion Steve who won and donated money to Lions.
