Lion Mort/Eli gave a Happy dollar for San Jose State winning a football game. Lion Ray gave a Happy dollar for his New York Giants winning a football game.
Project Linus – Lion Leslye said all is going well with Project Linus. She is look- ing for someone to go shopping with her for blanket material.
R4D – Lion Al said that said that he thought we would net about $16K but not all of the invoices are in yet. Lion Al said he was glad that he is in the loop with the R4D committee. Lion Al said he received a $20 donation for R4D.
Good of the Order –
Lion Al read Thank You letters from Project Edge and The Battered Women’s (YWCA).
Lion Al said he received a returned donation for the AJ Robinson Foundation. Lion Ray said that they had changed addresses and he would send Lion Al the new address.
Lion Ray said he reserved the Refrigeration truck for the food drive. He said we got a discount for being a 501C3 club.
Lion Don said that the Odd Fellows Hall now requires an insurance form for all events held at the Odd Fellows Hall. Lion Ray said we could get on by going on the LCI website.
Lion Steve said he is going to print the tickets for the Crab Feed but needs to ver- ify some information with Lion Carl first.
Lion Leslye said we could use her garage for a staging area for the Food Drive boxes. The question was raised if Lion Claire was going to contact the food drive recipients. Lion Al said the Rosemary Elementary school is open again and we usually provide them with about 35 boxes of food.
Lion Al and Lion Eli are working on the Perpetual Fund. One suggestion was putting a donation button on our Cupertino De Anza Lions web page. After funds start to grow we need to set up a committee to look at what we want to do with the funds. Lion Al said only the interest on the fund can be used and not the principal. Lion Al said we could take 20% out of our general fund and put in the perpetual fund if we want to do that.
Opportunity Drawing – Congratulations to Lion Steve who pulled his own num- ber and won two weeks in a row. Lion Steve gave all his winnings to the club.
