A.M. Meeting Minutes for 4/11/2019

Tail Twister – Lion Tail Twister Herb collected happy dollars from Lion Eli for finding out Lion Herb and his wife Pam were celebrating their 53rd anniversary. Lion Mort gave happy a dollar for their last trip to Kaiser for awhile. Lion Steve gave a happy dollar for getting a real cell phone but he left it at home.

Cupertino Earth Day – Lion Leslie talked about Cupertino’s Earth Day scheduled for this Saturday April 13, 2019. Lion Leslie said her and Lion Joan picked up a table, two chairs and the Lions Canopy from storage for the event. Lion Leslie said they need a couple of volunteers to sign up shift from 1 – 3 and for tear down. Set up time will be 9:30 AM – 10:30 AM. Lion Eli said he and Lion Mort will try and take the 1 – 3 shift. Lion Charlie and Lion Herb said they would help with set up and tear down. Lion Leslie said they have an activity for the kids. Earth Day Cupertino will be held at the Civic Center Plaza,10350 Torre Ave. Cupertino.
Charity Golf Classic 2019 – The golf tournament is June 22, 2019 at Moffett Field Golf Course with a shotgun tee time of 10 AM. Lion Eli said we already have two thousand dollars in sponsors already. There will be an after golf party held at Lion Leslie’s home on July 13, 2019. Lion Steve said Lion Ray has sent out an Excel spreadsheet with all the names of companies/individuals that we need to contact for the silent auction/raffle. He is asking the club members to take a couple of line items and give them a call. Lion Eli said that they have had no response about a PM member volunteering to be a Team Captain along with him and Lion Al for the event. Lion Charlie said maybe we can do the contest with just two teams. We also need a place to hold the work party.

Good of the Order –

Lion Steve said that the next Crab Feed will be on February 8, 2020. Lion Eli said with the price of crab going threw the roof that maybe we should look at doing some other type of dinner ie; corned beef and cabbage or chapino which might cost less for us to do. Food for thought in the next couple of years.
