Tail Twister – Lion Tail Twister Herb went around and collected happy dollars, for the 49er’s big win in the playoffs. Lion Steve gave a Happy Dollar for getting his TESLA back. Lion Joan gave a Happy Dollar for being healthy. Lion Mort gave Happy Dollar for Lion Carl Erickson’s parents arriving from back east to help with the crab feed.

Student Speaker Contest – Lion Joan said that they have the judges for the contest set up. She will contact the schools about the student speakers. The contest is February 6, 2020 at the Odd Fellows Hall in Cupertino. The contest starts at 7:00 PM the doors open at 6 PM. There will not be any allowed in after the contest has started.

Crab Feed – Lion Al said the first seating is virtually sold out and we have tickets available for the second seating. Lion Steve said he sent out an email concerning the work party asking people to sign up. Lion Eli will mail Lion Steve the information on the BBQ barrel for inclusion in the raffle.Lion Steve asked Lion Ron to get him eight bankers boxes from storage. Lion Steve said he picked up the key for the hall at Saint Lawrence and it will be opened at 11 AM on February 8, 2020for prep can start.Lion Bill said that he got the liquor license for the event. Lion Al said he would send out an email to a couple of previous large groups of crab feed attendees that we have not heard from yet. Lion Al also mentioned that Lion Carl has set up a meeting of the committee members this Friday January 17th at the Ready Room starting at 4:30, he will send a message out.

Charter Night – Lion Ray sent out an email concerning Charter Night scheduled for Saturday March 14, 2020 starting at 5:30 PM. He asked who would be attending and said he would send out a copy of the menu and cost in early February.

Voter Registrar Volunteers – Lion Al said that our days to volunteer are February 29th and March 1 thru March 3rd. Lion Al sent out a sign up sheet for volunteers. All of the precincts that we will collect ballots from are in the Cupertino area.

Good of the Order – Lion Don Lang mentioned that the IRS talked with his Odd Fellows club about their charity raffle and wanted information concerning it. Lion Al said he would check on it.

Lion Al said that the Perpetual Fund issue is with Lion Prez Jeff and the Board. The next Board Meeting is Tuesday January 21, 2020 at Lion Al’s home. Lion Eli discussed it and is going to meet with Lion Kent to discuss it further. It seems like the fund will be set up with Fidelity Trust.

Lion Joan talked about signing up for Cupertino’s Earth Day coming up in April. She will get more info and let us know the details.

Lion Don said the Odd Fellows annual Pancake breakfast will be the morning of March 14, 2020.

Lion herb will not be around next week and Lion Joan volunteered to take care of the flags.
