Meeting Minutes for June 9, 2022

Lions in person: Lion’s Ray, Ron, Al, Barbara, Leslye, Don, Joan, Steve, John, Kent, Herb, and Charlie.

Tail Twister – Tail Twister Lion Herb collected donations from club members for Warriors loss and for a winning streak starting this Friday.

ROV – Wanted to thank all of those who participated especially Lion’s Al and Barbara who managed the ROV supply truck. Lion Al said we should make between seven and eight thousand dollars for our efforts.

Golf Tournament – Lion Ray said the tournament is coming together. We still need volunteers so please go out and sign up on the google sheet sent out by Lion Jeff. Lion Steve said he went to the golf course and everything looked good for our set up. We currently have eight tee signs and are hoping for more. Registration is at 12:30 PM, 2:00 PM Shotgun Start with Cart Included Scramble Format and lunch to go. Lion Ray said we could still use a few more golfers. We will go to storage Monday morning 10 AM to pick up what is necessary for the tournament.

Camp Via – Lion Joan said camp manager Rick had not received the check form the Lions yet. Lion Al said he mailed it to the main office so they will check with Rhonda. Lion Joan said there was a lot going on at the camp now that it is open full time. She needs more volunteer help so if you can go during the week or on the weekend please let Lion Joan know. There is a lot of harvesting going on. There has been some irrigation problems that needs to hopefully get resolved.

San Rafael Lions Vision Clinic – Lion John said he was contacted by the individual from the San Rafael Lions club that put on the vision clinic and said he would help us in what ever area we need helping if he could. Lion John is looking for a center to hold the event preferably in the south San Jose area.Lion John said he talked with Lion Liz Crooke to see if we might be able to get volunteers from the Monterey/Salinas area Lions Clubs. Lion Al said we currently have three thousand dollars in the budget for this event.

Budget Meeting – The budget meeting will be held at Lion Al’s home starting at 2 PM. If you have any charity you would like to support please email the information to Lion Al before the budget meeting.

Good of the Order –

Lion Eli said he just had his birthday and would send Lion Al a check for eighty-one dollars to go into the endowment fund.

Lion Ray said the blind center could use volunteers this Saturday to help unload donated glasses 12 noon.

Opportunity Drawing – Congratulations Lion Herb won.
